Winter fun in Gaylord, MI

It starts with a snowflake and becomes world class snow trails! Well in my point of view anyway. That first flake usually sparks the interest of most of us to start looking for winter vacation homes. We here in Northern Michigan welcome winter vacationers as family. Playing in the snow is something we take very seriously. Our snowmobile, cross country trails along with our downhill skiing and snowshoeing is as close to heaven as you can get. We have trails that take you along river banks and some trails that take you deep into the woods. Snow trails are very well marked and our visitor center can provide you with maps and trail information as well as information that lead you off the trails and into one or two of the best restaurants in the north! The quiet of a cross country ski trail is a calm you’ll never forget. One of my favorite things is watching the snow in the tree tops falling and disappearing on to the trails with a quiet little poof! It’s not uncommon to see a few woodland creatures along the way.
